1953 Shaving Permit

Someone with a clever sense of humor took the image of the Brooklyn Bum and airbrushed the bat he was holding. The pin was re-designed in red, and added the caption “Shaving Permit” to taunt the fans of the Brooklyn Dodgers in reference to their Bum.

A corresponding mate was designed for the 1953 American League champion New York Yankees by air-brushing the original Dodger image of the Bum, and declaring the pin to be a “shaving permit.”
